Assistive Technology for Apprentices

Technology to help apprentices work more effectively and independently

Access Support Apprentices provides assistive technology to help apprentices overcome barriers to learning and take part more confidently in their apprenticeship.

Assistive technology can include software, tools, and equipment recommended to support the apprentice’s individual needs. This may help with areas such as reading, writing, organisation, focus, note-taking, and completing work more independently.

We help training providers put the right assistive technology in place as part of a wider support plan, making sure the support provided is relevant to the apprentice’s identified needs.

When the right technology is matched to the right learner, it can improve access, confidence, and day-to-day progress throughout the apprenticeship.
